WHAT’S IN THE SHOW?

WHAT’S IN THE SHOW?

Season 6: Next Episode

Starts 4th Oct 2023

What?

Every week (with my guests) we reverse engineer successful PR campaigns and PR moments in the news.

We look at what can be learned, what we might have done differently ourselves and what you are saying about these ideas this week.

The show is best thought of as a conversation between PR and comms pros, with the goal of helping every listener deliver groundbreaking PR for their client, organisations or boss when the budget is always too small and time is always too short.

We believe the world has entered a new era whereby PR-led marketing will be the best way to stand out for any organisation. A.I., a more framented society and a multi-discipline approach to marketing is changing everything.

Who Listens?

It’s for anyone who runs a public relationship based cam PR campaign for an organisation or client.

We get messages asking questions and commenting on the show from all these groups

• In-house marketing/PR teams and individuals

PR IS CHANGING – What we believe about “PR” today

It’s no longer good enough to send out a press release and say you’ve built a “relationship” with the “public”.

In this modern era, the public is demanding more from organisations. They expect a real relationship and that can’t be acheived through traditional marketing or press alone. It needs a hybrid approach.

This show believes the answer is a “PR-led” marketing campaign. That’s a campaign focused on building real emotional relationships with PR methodology backed up by any technique that exists.

This is different to traditional marketing in that it is about a “two way” conversation, not broadcasting at people. It’s different to traditonal PR in that it goes way beyond “press” and embraces every technique, including paid content.

It’s no longer good enough to have a good slogan, everyone does. To acheive result today in this new era, organisations must build relationships with the public to stand out. We believe the answer is a “PR-led marketing campaign”.

For this reason we also believe PR-led skills are about to see a renaissance. The PR role may be absorbed into the general term of “marketing” or “communications” in future but it will still be a distinct set of skills that organisations have to have to market themselves in the years ahead, especially in the AI era.
