There is a lot of crossovers with “branding” here but the difference with PR compared to many firms is that we are not just talking about a corporate personality, we’re talking about a human “personality”.
Put it this way, if you met your company on the street, how would they dress, how would they talk, what would their humour be like?
Basic psychology. We like people like us. So don’t create the generic perfect person, create a human instead, with flaws, a sense of human. But it is someone who loves your product. It IS your avatar but make them specific. Make them one person.
If you met them on the street how would you view them?
What would an organisation who is this do? What actions would they take?
